MEETING NEEDS IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Shelly Meyer

Yesterday I went with one of our medical teams to visit the locations where they will do medical clinics this week. One of the locations is about an hour and a half from the city. While we were there three patients with injuries were brought in. One was a man who had been attacked by a wild boar and was severely injured. Our medical workers were able to help stabilize him so that he could be transported to a hospital in the city. The truck in this picture is the "ambulance" which carried him the 1 1/2 hours to the hospital. Without the assistance of our medical workers this man may not have survived. This event showed me once again how needed these medical outreaches are in areas where adequate medical care is not available.  Because of your partnership we were able to be there at the right moment to help this man. Our God is surely a God who saves.
