Assisting the Elderly in Moscow

Joel Renner - Joyce Meyer Ministries Russia Office

Each Monday senior citizens from around Moscow attend the Vitamin Club which is sponsored by our Joyce Meyer Ministries Russia & Ukraine office. What began as a group of seniors has turned into a church for the elderly with nearly 4,500 attending the multiple services. Each meeting has worship along with the Word of God being preached. The seniors are eager to attend.

At every meeting the attendees receive vitamins or other medical supplies. These seniors were once atheists and highly educated communists that have either come near to God’s kingdom or have now come into the kingdom of God. Director Max Myasnikov and volunteers call church attendees on the phone during the week to check up on them and regularly hear that these events have become the meaning of their life and have helped extend their lives. Thank you for helping reach these wonderful people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Saving Lives in Ethiopia

Ashley Wilkins - Hand of Hope Medical Missions Coordinator

No matter how often we travel around the globe during the year doing medical/dental outreaches, helping to save a life is always an unforgettable moment. We are currently in a remote part of Ethiopia with our medical/dental team. Each day we have thousands of people show up at our clinic to receive the care we have come to give. Sara was one patient that immediately stood out to our team as we could see she was severely malnourished and in need of quick medical attention before she would die. We carried her into our nutrition room and slowly began the process of re-nourishing her body and placed her in our feeding program where she will continue to be nursed back to health.

Because this outreach was made possible by the partners of Joyce Meyer Ministries, babies like Sara have been found and helped this week. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus in Ethiopia!

7,281 Meals Shared Citywide in St. Louis

Jeff Allensworth – St. Louis Dream Center Senior Pastor

The St. Louis Dream Center recently hosted a citywide food distribution. Three semi-trailers of free food and other essentials were distributed to 1,200 families identified by the Dream Center. Employee volunteers and players from the St. Louis Rams distributed the food packages with enough food to feed a family of four for a week. All total the boxes of food equaled 7,281 meals!

The St. Louis Dream Center reaches thousands of disadvantaged children and families impacting their neighborhoods and quality of life. In 2009, the Dream Center provided over 170,000 meals to the hungry and assisted thousands more who were homeless. It continually strives to be a healing place for a hurting world.

New Medical Clinic in Egypt

David L. Meyer – CEO Hand of Hope

With the help of the friends and partners of Joyce Meyer Ministries, Hand of Hope has opened a new medical clinic in Shoubra Al Kheima to serve the people and the surrounding communities. The clinic has three doctors covering pediatrics, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal issues. Unlike the government hospitals where patients still need to pay, the clinic offers medical examinations and medicine at no cost.

Patients also receive hope and an opportunity to experience the love of Christ. It is exciting to be able to serve as Christ served and meet a great need. Thank you to our many partners and friends who made this possible!

50 Haitian Families Move into New Houses

David L. Meyer – CEO Hand of Hope

Ever since the earthquake devastated Haiti last January we have been working hard to help the people recover. Today we helped 50 families, which is approximately 250 people, move into their brand new homes. These people have been living in tents for 10 months.

The homes painted in bright Caribbean colors are fully furnished and handicap equipped. Most families have at least one family member who is an amputee. They cried and rejoiced as they received the keys. Thanks to all the partners and especially Love a Child who made it all possible. We are now working on the next 50 homes!
